All launch dates of 2023 single seaters

Although Formula 1 will return to Bahrain in early March, teams are preparing to unveil their single-seaters for 2023. Haas is unveiling the VF-23 today, while the others will run until February 16 ahead of pre-season testing in Bahrain.

As at the beginning of every year, Formula 1 fans eagerly await the return of the queen of motoring discipline. But before the first race at the Sakhir circuit in Bahrain on March 5, and even before the pre-season winter tests at the end of February, the single seats of the ten teams participating in the World Championship were also revealed. Here are the memorable launch dates for every team taking part in F1’s 74th season.

Ah, today is the day!

Not the most famous of the teams that opened the ball, but it is not surprising that the fans will discover the new American Haas today, Tuesday, January 31 (15:00), at least first of all the livery of the VF -23. It will be driven by Denmark’s Kévin Magnussen and German Nico Hulkenberg, who is back for a full season.

Red Bull, February 3

In 2022, hands-down champion manufacturer Red Bull will follow from the front row of the launch grid with the RB19 unveiled on Friday, February 3 (3pm). This event will take place in New York, USA, probably at the Hard Rock Hotel. There we have to discover more than livvar.

The Milton Keynes team has renewed two-time champion Max Verstappen and his Mexican team-mate Sergio Perez. The reserve driver will be Daniel Ricciardo.

Williams, February 6

Williams, whose last of the 2022 season has scored eight minor points, will be the third team to display the FW-45 on Monday, February 6 (3:00 p.m.). The new single-seater will be driven by Thai driver Alex Albon and last year’s reserve rookie Logan Sargant.

The new head of the Williams team will also be James Vowles, a former engineer in charge of strategy at Mercedes.

Alfa Romeo, February 7

The following day, Tuesday, February 7 (10 a.m.), it will be the Alfa Romeo team’s turn to present their C43 from Zurich, Switzerland. To find out, you need to go live on the Twitter account of the team led by Sauber and based on the duo of Valtteri Bottas and Guanyu Zhou in 2022.

This will be the Italian Alfa Romeo’s last season before leaving his seat at Audi. The German has just bought a minority stake in Sauber and is expected to become a full-fledged manufacturer in 2026.

Alpha Tauri, February 11

We know this since the end of December. Also on display on Saturday, February 11th will be the AT04 from the Alpha Tauri team based in Faenza, New York. China’s Yuki Tsunoda and Holland’s Nyck De Vries will test this assembly and hope to go one better than their 9th place finish at the 2023 World Championships.

Aston Martin and McLaren, February 13

It ramps up in mid-February, with five presentations over four days. Aston Martin and McLaren have chosen the same date, Monday 13 February, to unveil the AMR 23 and MCL37 models.

The first, piloted by Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll, will be discovered live from the “new Silverstone campus” in England. McLaren will be in nearby Woking, home to the British team’s factory, in the evening with drivers Lando Norris and teenager Oscar Piastri in attendance.

Ferrari, February 14

This is good for tifos who are in love with Ferrari. The reclining rider single-seater will be unveiled on February 14, St. Valentine’s Day. While the 2022 version of the F1-75 was favored for its hollow pontoons, we don’t yet know its name or features.

It will be Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz who will lift the curtain on the new livery and its technical specifications, accompanied by the new director of the Scuderia, Frenchman Frédéric Vasseur, who has left Sauber.

Mercedes, February 15 / Renault, February 16

Best for last? Either way, Mercedes and Alpine will be the last teams to introduce single-seaters in England. The W14 E-Performance Silver Arrows will be unveiled at Silverstone on Wednesday 15 February and on social media on the A523 in France the following day in London on Thursday 16 February.

Alp-Renault opted for French duo Pierre Gasly and Esteban Ocon, while Mercedes again relied on Lewis Hamilton and George Russell to regain the lead in a championship they had long dominated in previous years.

Pre-season testing will be held at the Sakhir circuit on Sunday, March 5, ahead of the first Grand Prix in the Emirate, on February 23-25.
