After the loss in New York, the Cavaliers bounced back easily without Donovan Mitchell in Houston. They also use the Nets’ loss to Detroit to connect with them. The two franchises follow each other in the Eastern Conference standings (Brooklyn is fourth, Cleveland is fifth).
The Clippers are still rolling and are coming off their fourth straight win against the Spurs after taking control early in the match without letting up. This is their best streak of the season.
Brooklyn – Detroit Boston-New York Charlotte – Chicago Phoenix-Dallas
Houston-Cleveland: 95-113
Even without Donovan Mitchell, who was injured again late in the New York game, the Cavaliers didn’t have much trouble chasing the Rockets. The Texans also helped out, averaging 22 turnovers and 5/21 on 3-pointers. Result: the game was tied at halftime (48-74).
After a basket by Jabari Smith Jr. in the third quarter, JB Bickerstaff’s troops persisted and scored 10 consecutive points. Then the difference is more than 30 points. Stephen Silas’ men ended the quarter on an 11-3 run, as Darius Garland and Cedi Osman scored from behind the arc early in the final stretch to cruise to an easy victory.

LA Clippers – San Antonio: 138-100
After dominating the Lakers with a very solid performance, the Clippers did it again against the Spurs. With the same items at the start of the game, a defense in place and side kicks that deal damage. 16 points ahead after twelve minutes of play.
Gregg Popovich’s troops would never get back into the game, choked by the Clippers’ 18 game-winning baskets. It was a walk in the park for Paul George (35 points) and Kawhi Leonard (27), who combined to shoot 24/35. Fourth straight win for Nicolas Batum (9 points) and teammates, fourth straight loss for the Texans.
