Bugatti has presented its latest flagship innovation in partnership with Champagne Carbon: “La Bouteille sur Mesure”. Inspired by the almost endless customization options offered by Bugatti’s ‘Bespoke’ program, the ‘Bespoke Bottle’ uses unique craftsmanship, design and technology to create a true work of art.
“La Bouteille sur Mesure” was born less than a year after the incredible success of “La Bouteille Noire”, a unique 15 liter Champagne Carbon bottle housed in a box inspired by Bugatti’s hyper sports car La Voiture Noire. It took Bugatti’s partner IXO at least 150 hours to meticulously create the bottle and its case. A total of 314 sheets of carbon fiber – the same material used for Bugatti cars – were needed. The cooler interior of the case is covered in fine-grained Havana brown leather, like the one used in the unique copy of La Voiture Noire.
What started with a single bottle has grown into a complete customization offering never seen before in the world of wine. La Bouteille Sur Mesure offers both an unprecedented level of service and an unparalleled product, consisting of three configurable parts: a box inspired by Bugatti cars, a carbon fiber glass – handcrafted by Champagne Carbon, and finally, the best inside. champagnes. Each of these elements can obviously be adjusted according to the customer’s preferences.
With cases sculpted in the form of the Mistral, Bolide, Divo and Chiron, customers have the option of reinventing their Bugatti as a scale model or exploring entirely new designs, if they wish. Each box of La Bouteille sur Mesure pays homage to the car model it receives, inspired by iconic elements. Bold lines, extreme curves, surprising fins: the most complex details can be written in the cabinet.
This near-infinite level of customization extends to the glass itself, with a selection of exclusive materials such as the world’s first photoluminescent carbon fiber glass. La Bouteille Sur Mesure also offers customers a choice of the best vintages from Champagne Carbon.
The Champagne Carbon For Bugatti collection so far includes the ƎB.01 release, a ƎB.01 made from 90% Chardonnay and 10% Pinot Noir, a ƎB that gives intense flavor to the grapes. 02, Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru vintage 2006 and cuvée ƎB.03, Blanc de Blancs from 2013 – a dense and fresh wine produced by a sequence of cold, wet winter and cool spring, resulting in a late harvest.
Like true works of art, the bottles and cases are made using the same artisanal process used by Champagne Carbon and IXO to create “La Bouteille Noire”. Each case is equipped with an automatic thermodynamic cooling element – an innovative technology used in orbiting satellites – as well as 14 high-level fans to ensure the ideal temperature for this prestigious champagne.
