Video: Chrome: The best free extensions of 2021
Google Chrome is the most popular web browser in the world. Despite concerns about monopolizing system resources, it is a very powerful platform. And one of its strengths is its rich ecosystem of expansions. There are thousands of extensions for Chrome. If you can imagine what you need right away, there’s an extension for that.
There are literally thousands and thousands of extensions. The only problem: you can install so many extensions that the browser can stop working under the weight of the system resources consumed by the extensions.
That’s why ZDNet wrote a challenge: to create a list of the seven best extensions for Chrome. Really useful, well supported and well performing extensions. Here’s the list we’ve come up with.
All of these extensions are free and work on Windows, Mac, and Linux.
Bitwarden: the best password manager
Looking for a secure and free password manager? Look no further than Bitwarden, our new favorite password manager. Bitwarden stores all your credentials in an encrypted vault that syncs across all your devices, and all data is protected using AES-256-bit encryption, salted hash, and PBKDF2 SHA-256.
Bitwarden is a free and open source password manager that lets you keep all your usernames and passwords safe for your online accounts.

Screenshot
A screenshot tool built right into Chrome. It’s a fantastic tool for people who want to capture web page content without using a separate utility. You can also record the desktop, tab, or camera roll. And then you can add narration on top of it. Nice and very useful addition.
